Just going for 2 weeks cause something personal popped up, but it's been ok so far
My counselor has been nothing but extremely professional, ethical, and beyond helpful. Generally speaking, I have many positive things to say as I've been here for many years. Only two downsides; one important staff member (dont want to name names) is a bit rude to patients and she doesn't listen, jumps to conclusions easily. Ive recently had an issue with a false positive, but the sample was gone due to back logging from the holidays...so the only way to vindicate myself is a hair follicle test that comes out of my pocket. Wouldn't be as bad if I had the possibility of reimbursement when the results come back negative, but that definitely put a damper on things. I wouldn't let those two things discourage you from getting help, because one false positive in almost 11 years...those are decent enough odds. Plus, I tell myself I wouldn't even be in that situation had I made better choices earlier on in life...it's all part of my "penance." Even if you pay for services out of pocket, it still is much cheaper than a heroin or pill habit. Yes, they have gotten quite strict there, but that is due to federal guidelines..not really their choice. Methadone gets a bad name from those who abuse it or mix it with other substances. As long as you're 100 percent ready to get off of illicit substances and ready to live a healthy positive lifestyle, methadone can be helpful. Just follow the rules, don't cause a scene or be overly nasty to staff, show up for your callbacks, and never drink alcohol or use benzos(even if prescribed), because those are all ways to either lose your phase or get the boot. If you have questions, call your counselor before doing something you're unsure of. Pretty simple. It forces you to be accountable and come to terms with any self sabotaging behaviors, then you can work at eliminating them. As of this moment, this location doesn't offer suboxone treatment, but may in the future. Payment upfront. Overall, my life would be in shambles had I not come here. Yes, you should try other treatments first, but if all fails, don't be scared to give waukesha comprehensive treatment center (formally QAM) the ol college try. End novel here. :)

I'm very proud of Myself :) Thank You To mostly my Methadone Counsellor
MKUltra Actual, is dead on in their assessment of this clinic. Couldn't have said it better!
Not a bad place, although it has become much more heavily regulated. There are also a lot more patients than ever before and depending on what time you come dosing can take forever. Cops are always sitting outside ready to bust you for the tiniest infraction. Overall, it beats being a degenerate junky and if you live around the waukesha area, this is the only clinic around.
